Square End User Agreement

Effective date: February 23, 2026

1. Scope and acceptance

This Square End User Agreement applies when a merchant connects Square to Bestorant. By connecting Square, you authorize Bestorant to access and process Square account data required for menu synchronization, webhook handling, and related product features.

2. Square authorization

When you complete Square OAuth, Bestorant exchanges your authorization code for an access token and associates your active Square location with your restaurant account. You represent that you are authorized to grant this access.

3. Data accessed from Square

Depending on enabled features, Bestorant may access and process:

  • Square merchant and location identifiers required to map your account.
  • Catalog/menu data, including item names, descriptions, category references, and pricing metadata.
  • Webhook event payloads, including catalog and inventory update notifications.
  • Integration operational metadata used for retries, deduplication, and diagnostics.

4. How Square data is used

  • To create and maintain your Square integration connection.
  • To fetch and cache menu data for restaurant operations.
  • To process verified webhook events and trigger downstream menu updates.
  • To monitor integration reliability, support issue resolution, and improve service quality.

5. Current integration capability notice

The current Square integration is focused on menu/catalog synchronization and webhook-driven updates. Direct Square order creation through this integration is not currently enabled.

6. Webhooks and security

Bestorant supports Square webhook signature validation and duplicate-event controls. You are responsible for correct Square webhook configuration, including notification URL and signature key management where applicable.

7. Merchant obligations

  • Use integration data only as permitted by law and your agreements with end users.
  • Provide legally required notices and obtain required end-customer consents.
  • Maintain accurate account and location configuration in Square and Bestorant.

8. Service limitations

Integration availability depends on Square systems, API behavior, and network conditions. Bestorant is not responsible for third-party downtime, API changes, or delays outside our reasonable control.

9. Termination and revocation

You may disconnect Square at any time through your Bestorant or Square administration controls. After disconnection, Bestorant will stop new Square API calls except as needed for security, legal compliance, or limited operational cleanup.

10. Provider terms

Your use of Square remains subject to Square's own developer and merchant terms, privacy requirements, and platform policies. This agreement supplements, and does not replace, those Square terms.
